Management and Principal Dr. K Gopala Krishna Prize distribution: Female staff(sports) Preparation of the Event We at JIT are blessed and fortunate to have a thoughtful management and our beloved Principal, Dr. K Gopala Krishna who identified the need for women’s motivation towards their duties and gave consent to have fun games for all the women faculty (both teaching and non-teaching)   two days in advance i.e., 6th and 7 th March 2023. The games were well organized under the leadership of Dr. Madhusudan (Hod, Dept. of Mathematics) and his team. There were fun games like “Trade a chair, Action and Reaction, Treasure Hunt with twist, Antakshari”. To make the women staff feel better and comfortable, these games were well executed by Ms. Usha Sundaresh (Dept. Of Humanities) and Mr. Shrinidhi Kulkarni (Dept. of comp.sc) under the able guidance of the committee members mentioned above. It was a grand success as the women faculty were at their best and enjoyed to the fullest. Women’s Health Matters! On women’s day, 8th March 2023, a talk by Dr. Manjula Nirupama, Program Manager, Doctors for Seva was organized for all who lead busy lives and don’t take time needed to stay on top of their health and wellbeing. It was necessary to realize that by staying on top of health and making positive changes that can last a lifetime we are making an investment in future.   Dr. Manjula Nirupama made us to introspect and start putting ourselves first and focus on our health as it is the need of the hour. Dr. Manjula Nirupama was well praised and felicitated by the Management and our beloved Principal, Dr. K Gopala Krishana on the same day. Details of the Formal function-8th March 2023. MC-Usha. S (Dept of Humanities, English) The day also witnessed the formal function - a cause for celebration, a reason to pause and re-evaluate, a remembrance an inspiration and a time to honor and admire womanhood. The formal function was for the entire staff of JIT and CIIRC. It started with an invocation by our faculty-Mrs.Sarvamangala (Dept of comp.sc) and then with the auspicious lighting ceremony by the chief Guest Ms. Mithila Hola, Vice President m/s Trinity Mobility, Bangalore, Principal, Dr. K Gopala Krishana, and Management and all the other dignitaries. Mrs. Roopa (dept of comp.sc) chanted the hymns and filled the atmosphere with bliss. Mrs. Bhargavi (dept of civil Eng.) welcomed the gathering and adored all the amazing women on International Women’s day.   Our Principal, Dr. K Gopala Krishna addressed the gathering and sincerely thanked especially the female employees for having a positive mind and a fierce nature to excel in their respective fields.   Mrs. Rekha (placement Director-JIT introduced the chief guest - Ms. Mithila Hola, Vice President m/s Trinity Mobility, Bangalore. She is the General Manager for Product Management and Marketing at Trinity Mobility with over 9 years of experience in multiple domains. She works closely with smart city industry experts to streamline and improve the smart city project deliveries globally. Ms. Mithila Hola, Vice President m/s Trinity Mobility, Bangalore was felicitated by the management – Shri Narsimhan, Chairman,JCT and Shri, Trustee,JCT and our beloved Principal, Dr. K Gopala Krishana. Ms. Mithila Hola, Vice President m/s Trinity Mobility, Bangalore addressed the gathering and emphasized on giving due honor, care, support, and motivation to the women for their future achievements. Our own young women achiever, Mrs.Geetapriya Professor, ECE, CIIRC JIT, Bangalore has brought laurels to JIT for being a member of the 4th Indian Scientific Expedition to the Arctic (North pole) in 2019 and also Piloted the polar cryosphere research being a member of the 41st Indian Scientific expedition to Antarctica ( South pole) during the period Oct222 and 2023. A short AV on Mrs.Geetapriya Professor, ECE, CIIRC JIT, Bangalore journey till date was played on this occasion as an introduction which completely mesmerized everyone. Mrs.Geetapriya Professor, ECE, CIIRC JIT, truly deserved felicitation and was honored by the management – Shri Narasimhan, Chairman, JCT Shri Ramesh, Trustee, JCT and our beloved Principal, Dr. K Gopala Krishna and Dr. Krishna Venkatesh, Director, CIIRC. Dr. Krishna Venkatesh, Director, CIIRC, took pride in giving a glimpse of the accomplishments and achievements of CIIRC and appreciated Mrs.Geeta priya Professor, ECE, and wished her good luck for her future endeavors. The much-awaited moment to witness Mrs.Geetapriya Professor, ECE, CIIRC JIT, journey to the 41st Indian Scientific expedition to Antarctica (South pole) during the period Oct222 and 2023 her own words along with PowerPoint presentation was incredible and took everyone in awe. The management, Principal and staff were extremely happy to congratulate and wish SAE AERO team Bon voyage Lakeland, Florida USA2023 to participate in the (SAE AERO DESIGN East).   The Management was generous enough to announce cash prize to the winners of the sports conducted for the women(both teaching and non-teaching) staff which was handed to them on this occasion. Shri Narasimhan, Chairman, JCT words of appreciation especially to the women faculty was highly regarded by everyone.  Shri Ramesh, Trustee, JCT acknowledged the value and the importance of Women in our lives and all around the world infused everyone with enthusiasm and synergy. Mrs. Soumya K N (Dept of AIML) proposed vote of thanks. High tea was arranged for everyone as a warm gesture by the management. The event was a grand success. Snapshots of the event:
